A RISC OS-using artist has described exhibiting his digitally-created work in a public gallery as a "rewarding experience". Richard Ashbery, who used ArtWorks and Photodesk to create his images, showed off patterns and colourful illustrations to punters, who told him his work made a change from the oils and watercolour masterpieces usually exhibited.

Registered users of popular life management software Organizer have been assured that development of the program is on-going, reports Steve Potts. Nigel Willmott, who took over as Organizer publisher a while ago, said a programmer was "hard at work on a new version of Organizer for release soon", and called for users to send in their feature suggestions or offer to become beta testers.

This year's South East RISC OS show was the last to be held at the Guildford Technical College, reports Martin Hansen. The organisers, SASAUG, struggled to fill the hall last month after a few regular exhibitors pulled out, forcing show officials to look for a new venue for next year's affair. The group have used the college's campus since 2002, which marked the launch of the Castle Iyonix.

Repton fan Andrew Weston has brought together a number of levels designed by players for the infuriating retro puzzle game, and put them on his Drobe web space for others to download. He said: "Provided the levels are completable and are not just cloned commercial levels, old or new, it doesn't matter whether there is one, a set or a set of themes like the original Repton 3 sequels."

As so many of you have pointed out, a number of little notebook computers, which are all the rage these days, are to be powered by ARM chips, paving the way for a possible RISC OS port to such slimline devices (especially given the recent Ubuntu Linux on ARM announcement) - however there are countless ARM Linux-powered systems available already and yet there's no sign of any RISC OS port for them either...

The Amiga port of the NetSurf web browser now supports tabbed browsing, just like the GTK port. The RISC OS side of the software is said to be lacking an active developer - meanwhile the Linux, BeOS and Amiga ports continue to forge ahead.
